The Big Reveal

The six weeks of Operation Transformation Limerick have come to and end and it’s time to reveal the result!

After six gruelling weeks of Operation Transformation Limerick, our two volunteers Mandy Hogan and Martin Costello have come to the end of an exciting journey. And what a success it has been. Between them, they have lost a total of 34 lbs in the course of the six weeks. Mandy has lost an incredible 18 lbs – that’s almost a stone and a quarter – while Martin isn’t far behind, losing a total of 16 lbs. They did this with the help of Caroline Danaher and her team in Ultimate Health, and fitness instructor Brian Kennedy who designed and and oversaw their weekly gym routines. Over the course of the six weeks, both underwent a variety of treatments ranging from colonic irrigation to
hot stone massage and even some psychotherapy with EFT practitioner Ber Collins. They were also given weekly diet plans by the team in Ultimate Health to help bring down their weight. Both Martin and Mandy agree that the experience was a hugely positive one and they both speak highly of everyone who helped them achieve their goals. They both feel better, have more energy and more confidence. Mandy said the whole experience was “just fantastic”. I am a different person – I am sorry it’s over,” she added.

And after going through all the hard work, she is determined to keep the weight down by sticking to her new regime of regular exercise and good diet. “Definitely, I will keep it up. I didn’t go through all that to go back to my old ways now,” she told the Chronicle.
Speaking of the experience, she said she made great friends with the team in Ultimate Health and thanked them for all their support and encouragement. And, as these pictures show, she is a woman transformed. “I have been getting compliments everywhere I go and that alone gives me the push to keep going,” she says. Martin said he feels “at least ten years younger”. “The whole thing was brilliant – it gave me the push I needed to keep going.” Having never been in a gym in his life before, Martin was particularly complimentary of the fitness instructor Brian Kennedy, who put himself and Mandy through their paces in the gym, showing them how to use the equipment and get the most out of their time there. Even the diet wasn’t a problem. “I like fish anyway and, to be honest, I had just got into bad habits before,” he said. Since finishing, he has even cut down on his consumption of alcohol. “I’ll happily go out now and have a couple of glasses of wine rather than the pints,” he says. Martin and Mandy’s success goes to show that with commitment, determination and the support of a good team, it is possible to look and feel better and transform the way you live your life for the better.
